Pastor Joe

Pastor Joe Greiner has been faithfully serving the New Rockford Evangelical Free Church for over 15 years. Joe grew up in west central Minnesota. He came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as a young boy at bible camp. In his senior year of high school, he felt the call to ministry. While his original intent and desire was to lead a bible camp, within a few months at Oak Hills Christian College, Joe knew that he was being called into Pastoral Ministry. In May 2009 Joe graduated from Oak Hills with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry. In February 2010, Joe took the call to move to New Rockford, ND to be a solo pastor in a rural community. While he was only 23 when he began his ministry, Joe quickly grew to love his work and his new home. In the spring of 2022 Joe received his license through the Evangelical Free Church of America denomination. Joe’s ministry life is full. He plays a role in many areas of our church’s ministry. He preaches every week, leads the youth group, aids in our children’s ministry, teaches adult Sunday school, and can also be found mowing or weed-whacking the church’s lawn.Joe has been married to Erin for 17 years. The two share five children together: Joey, Jaden, Seth, Levi, and Luke. Their two older children are married, so now they have seven kids to love on! In January 2026, Joe will have the honor of becoming a grandpa to a sweet baby girl. When not pastoring, you can find Joe coaching cross country, driving an activity bus for the local school, aiding his wife in homeschooling their children, going for long runs, playing video games, or reading any book by J.R.R. Tolkien.
